Zaxxon is committed to an environmentally sustainable earth. In light of the growing ecological concerns facing the world, Zaxxon continues to evaluate and incorporate new initiatives in its product strategy. Among other initiatives, the company focuses on reducing solid waste in the manufacturing process, producing eco-friendly alternatives to hardwood in order to lessen the stress placed on the earth's forests, and innovating products that ease flooring maintenance to reduce chemical pollution of cleaning products.
Reducing Solid Waste
Zaxxon manufactures products made with post-consumer and post-industrial recycled materials. This material represents tons of scrap that would otherwise go to a landfill. In addition, Zaxxon develops products that are durable and resilient, allowing for less floor replacement over the course of a lifetime, reducing additional waste and energy used to make and install replacement floors.
Offering Alternatives
The World Commission on Forests states that every year since 1980, 15 million hectare decline in the world's forests - an area equivalent in size to England and Wales. Zaxxon offers wood alternative products with a natural-wood look and feel. These vinyl planks are warm underfoot, and insulate the room, reducing the loss of heating and cooling energy. Using a Zaxxon vinyl plank provides additional benefits, without contributing to the decline of the world's forests.
Maintenance without Environmental Damage
Zaxxon vinyl is tough, resistant to scratching, scuffing, staining, indentation and other daily abuse. This durability is especially critical in commercial settings where routine wear and tear take their toll on floors. Zaxxon vinyl floors maintain their good looks even in heavy traffic areas. By making our product durable and easy to maintain, we contribute to the reduction of chemicals used to clean flooring products.
