Warranty
From the date of purchase by the end user, provided the material was properly installed, maintained, and used as recommended and intended, Laytac floors are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects for 7 years from the date of purchase for light commercial applications and for 30 years of the original purchaser's residential applications.
This warranty is made solely to the original purchase by the end user of Manufacturer's first quality flooring material as described above and is not transferable under any circumstances. This warranty is expressly in lieu of any other expressed warranty. No representative, employee, or agent of Manufacturer, or any other person is authorized to assume for Manufacturer and additional liability or responsibility in connection with Manufacturer's floor covering except as described above. Under no circumstances shall Manufacturer's liability exceed the original price paid to the Manufacturer for material.
This warranty does not include the following:- Dissatisfaction due to improper installation, maintenance, or irregularities caused by sub floor irregularities.
- Reduction in gloss due to use or improper maintenance.
- Damage due to stains, burns, cuts, gouges, scuffs, scratches, indentation, and other accidents or abuse.
- Discoloration caused by residues of paint, carpet dyes, asphalt, oil, or rubber that are walked onto or placed on the floor, ultra violet rays from some light sources, adhesives or floor care products not recommended for use, and hot temperature sources such as heat, registers, appliance motors, or direct or indirect sunlight.
- Problems due to moisture including mold, mildew, fungus, discoloration, alkali, flooding, orhydrostatic pressure in or under the sub floor.
- Color variations from samples or printed illustration compared to actual material.
- Color/shade variations from purchase of and mixing different run numbers. Any claim for surface defects or variations in color or pattern must be made prior to installation.
- Damage due to burns, stains, cuts, scratches, scuffs, gouges, including lack of proper floor protectors and furniture rests, staining caused by tracked-in foreign matter, including but not limited toasphalt, resins, driveway sealers, or oil drops.
- Reduction of ionic generation rate or count over time due to improper usage and maintenance methods.
- Installation of flooring over chipwood, pressboard, or other than "underlayment grade" particleboard.
- Installation using solvent sealers not recommended by Manufacturer.
- Installation of material using adhesive not approved by Manufacturer.
- Installation of material with obvious defect visible before installation.
The warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or of fitness for a particular purpose.
